MED Lloyd Line was founded in Dubai, in 2000 by some investors from Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates as a privatelyowned limited logistics cum container shipping company in UK &UAE. MED Lloyd Lines has been registered in London, United Kingdom and in process to register in Hamburg, as German registered shipping company. The company began its journey as a small container operator in the Middle East and Indian Sub-continent with Operating Head Office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Now the company has expanded its operation into Europe, Mediterranean, Adriatic Sea, Black Sea, Part of West Africa, East Africa, Indian Sub-continent, South East Asia and Far East.
The company currently operates Chartered MPP/TWN ships, and a fleet of owned and lease containers. Around 75% of the container fleet is owned by the company and this comprises the majority of equipment types including pallet-wide units. The company is also having Special equipment such as OT, FR, FB to accommodate any type and size of dry cargo including Over Sized, Heavy Lift, Normal and Dry cargoes.
During last two years the company has expanded its operation across three (3) continents by providing International Freight Forwarding (Sea/Air/Land/River/Rail – FCL & LCL Consolidation) services, Bulk Cargo movement, Chartering – Broking, Heavy Lift – Project cargo shipments, RORO, Reefer Cargo movement, Commodity Trading. The company is providing Multimodal transport services to its merchants and regular customers.
By 2030 the company is aiming to extend its presence in all the major continents across the World. Target of the company is to become one of the renowned Cross Trade operator of Middle East, Indian Sub-continent and South East Asia by 2025 and operate a regular Container Liner service with owned or chartered vessels covering the core regions.
The company is to have three (3) Regional Head Quarters within 2020 in Malaysia, UAE, India, and Branch offices in Myanmar, All over Indian ports and ICD’s, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Apparently the company is to also have a Regional Head Office in Egypt to cover entire Red Sea & Mediterranean and in The Netherlands to cover Europe & Scandinavian ports & points. USA also to cover under The Netherlands for the time being.
